Akhenaten

During the 18th dynasty in Ancient Egypt, one Pharaoh, Akhenaten, changed things so dramatically that after his reign, his successors made a deliberate attempt to erase all memory of him and his beautiful Queen Nefertiti from Egypt's history. He suddenly appeared and took over the throne in 1353 B.C., teaching a single religion with only one god. He abolished slavery, abolished human and animal sacrifices, and walked about half-naked for everyone to see his shockingly disfigured appearance.

He had an elongated skull, voluptuous hips and a bulging tummy. What motivated his religious revolution are questions not yet answered. Scholars have tried to explain what happened, and most of them disagree with each other. Some people believe he came from the stars to enlighten the people during dark times. He has been called "the criminal", " the heretic Pharaoh", but to some, he will always be ....The Star King.
